I bought this for my kitchen TV because the internal speakers were terrible. Since the set is smaller, I didn't need a large soundbar with a subwoofer. I just needed something small. There are smaller devices for less than $100, but they are primarily intended for laptops and tablets. And the reviews were terrible. I compared the sound with a transistor radio. The next price level appeared to be under $200. I really didn't want to spend that much. But I knew I would be disappointed if I went the cheap route. I knew Yamaha makes a quality product. So I swallowed a bullet and bought it. That's very impressive for a small soundbar. You will not be disappointed. And it fits perfectly with my 20 inch TV.
