Coffee brewed in a Farberware electric coffee maker, made in New York, which we received as a 1973 hen party gift. (Simple times with simpler gifts). We've used it sporadically over the years and it worked like a champ until this month it just stopped brewing. In our discarding society, there is no longer anyone who repairs small household appliances. So we decided to give it a try, it looks pretty much the same except there's no see-through lid at the top so you can see the coffee being brewed. I thought the lid from the old pan would fit the new pan, but it doesn't. In any case, the coffee in the new coffee machine brewed just as well and just as quickly as in our old one. The fit and finish appear to be just as good. I doubt it will last 46 years, but neither do we. Highly recommended.
