I have a chandelier with 5 lights. One of the outlets started sparking and caught fire. I cut the cords to a bad outlet and used the chandelier with only 4 bulbs for about a year. I found it was the heat given off by the incandescent bulbs. I replaced them with LED bulbs, which are cool to the touch. This replacement socket kit was very easy to install, I now have five working LEDs on the chandelier.
