With a 12 year old Labrador who loves to swim I feel like we have been experts in seat protection for many years. This is one of the strongest covers we have ever had so I am confident my new car seat will be protected from the rigors it will bring. she had, and her rough feet are kind of stuck to the material, which seems to irritate her a bit. I'm happy to let her get used to it, but she's an adult dog and I notice she's a little more unsteady when she's moving under her feet. A small complaint though as it is really nice and heavy. The full mesh front is also a lot heavier than I expected and allows for good airflow to transfer heat/air conditioning between the front and rear seats.
