It measures 44.5 inches, not 45 inches, so 4 stars. Didn't fit my 5'4" son. He tied it to the tail so it was as short as possible but still not long enough. This is a lovely tie. My son and husband both loved the look of the Tie agreed haha I won't be returning it, I'll just keep it for our youngest son when he's a bit older.
