I chose to wear it backwards (back pockets) and it works great. I have a small one and it fits well. However, there was plenty of room in the waist/back area. I'm not usually flat at the bottom. My hips are ok. 42". So I recommend ordering at least 1, if not 2, sizes down if you don't want the oversized shorts to look like a diaper. Also, the ties allow you to adjust the length a bit. This is a great feature, as you don't get wedge or camel toes (taller or longer women often have to deal with overalls for example) I wish the material was a bit thicker because it can wrinkle but for the price it's very cool I can't complain.
