They added fun colors and textures to my party decorations and the color matched the photos. They take longer than you think so be patient but they are worth it. They are a long thin tissue paper notebook folded flat with a white satin binding. You must tie the satin tie perfectly in the center of each pad or your fluffy jewel will look odd. Then separate sheets of tissue paper should be separated, one on each side of the tie. The paper is surprisingly strong, so I quickly learned not to be overly sensitive. Even the few times I've torn the paper, you can't see how it was done. So it's a forgiving project if you tie the tie in the center first. Once all the paper sheets are separated, you can fluff and fold the paper ball to give it a shape. None of mine looked as perfect as the photos but it's still a fun and unique piece of jewelry. But if you don't have helpers, don't take too many as they take time! Would definitely buy again.
