What makes it special is its size. There aren't many 42 inch tapes on the market today. This was intended to replace an old device that was seeing its better days. But the difference between this new bonnet and the existing bonnet lies in the quality of the materials and finish. The old hood is thicker metal and much easier to bend and assemble. Broan ships these hoods in retail packaging that is not suitable for shipping, so the hoods can be easily damaged in transit. The quality of the new hood is definitely unsatisfactory, although the price seems good, you'd better look for an alternative hood, even if it costs a little more.
