The part fits as advertised. No greasing needed O

Item as advertised. The O-ring does not need to be lubricated. The engine MUST BE COLD to remove the old pipe. Loosen, but do not remove, both 13mm tube mounting screws. If this is an OEM hose clamp, loosen the clamp on the lower hose by squeezing until the clamp retaining tab snaps into place. Slide the clamp at least 3 inches away from the tubing. Place a 2 gallon bucket or larger bucket under the hose/pipe connection. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently loosen the rubber hose's contact with the pipe, and then slowly unscrew the hose from the pipe. Coolant will spurt out, so go slow! Once drained, remove both 13mm mounting bolts securing the hose to the motor. where it connects to the hose, which drains the coolant remaining in the pipe. GENTLY move the tube front to back and side to side to loosen the o-ring. Install the replacement tube by aligning the o-ring with the bottom of the water pump housing. To align, tap the bottom of the tube lightly with a rubber mallet at a 90ยฐ angle. You will see the O-ring snap into place. Install both 13mm screws fully. signet ring. The mounting bracket must be flush with the mating surface of the water pump housing. screws as specified. Replace the rubber hose and align the clamp to its original position on the hose, using the tabs on the hose as a guide. Once aligned, insert a flathead screwdriver into the clamp from the side of the clamp and press on the opposite side to release the clamp latch. The clip snaps into place with force, so be careful! Start the engine and check for leaks.
