So adorable, so colorful and fun, portable, buildable, build your own playhouse with lots

This is one of the cutest sets and ideas I have ever seen. The fact that it's portable makes it even more fun. If you've ever tried to stop kids from confusing Lego sets, you probably know what a disaster it would be to have them take it to a friend's house. The instructions are good, but I don't think I'll go much under 6 with this one. Putting everything together in a small box is more difficult for young children, especially when their fine motor skills are not yet fully developed. This kit does a great job of making it easy to set up your own "dollhouse". Buy enough of these and you can mix and match, stack and click to make "rooms" around the house. The number of pieces here is very small - 40, and a lot of them are really small, a Lego button. And it doesn't even have some fun branded items, but even if it were less expensive I'd give it 4 stars. Such a set once cost about six dollars. It used to be pretty accurate to say that a dime for each Lego piece in a set was a good price, especially when there weren't big diecast specialty items like kites or, in this case, a travel case for everything. Now I usually say 10 to 15 cents each, but prices are going up for everyone. However, now Lego sets increasingly seem to have too many 1 button pieces to fill the number of pieces. This seems to be especially common in Little Friends sets lately. It's disappointing but I try to ignore it because all my kids and I love Lego. We have rooms full of them on shelves, coasters and dressers.
