So I read the reviews before buying and realized that many of them are quite old so I decided to check out some of them and see if they were fixed by the company. 1. There have been complaints of a strong chemical odor, but the issue appears to have been resolved. I smelled it before washing and nothing no smell.2. There have been complaints that the plastic has been exposed to the hot tea inside. I don't see any plastic coming into contact with hot drinks. You can see some plastic but it doesn't touch the tea, I've added a photo.3. Some reviews leaked, I didn't. To brew this tea I turn it upside down and leave to confirm they fixed that as well. That it broke or the lid fell apart. Mine didn't break and had a lifetime warranty. The baby didn't break, but if it did I'll update this review. I bought it and I like it very much. It keeps the tea fresh and hot for hours. I use this at home because my son accidentally spilled it, love hot tea on the go too. I've tried tea bags, loose leaf tea, and string teas. They all work well, my favorite is the high quality liner which is a solid choice. This container keeps the tea hot for hours so this benefit doesn't work against me. I add enough tea to brew 16 ounces but only 1/3 to 1/2 water, then brew it upside down, open it, add cool water to make it drinkable.
