Me and my family love this product! We bought a 5 gallon pitcher of water to reduce the amount of plastic we use from bottled water. At the moment we don't have a water filter in the fridge or on the tap, so we mostly buy drinking water. This is a great way to save on plastic, and also a cheaper alternative to buying a $100 water dispenser for 5-gallon jugs. I have to say though that when I first got it I was surprised that it sounded like a tiny motor which I believe creates suction to allow water to flow through the pipe and out the spout . The sound isn't LOUD but still gets my attention if someone uses it when I'm around. On a volume scale this would be about 2/5, with 5 being like a vacuum and 1 being like a small oscillating fan.
