They are ideal for replacing old storm locking latches. We painted our house a few years ago and unfortunately they painted over the hurricane studs. That made screwing and unscrewing many of them difficult. They were fantastic as replacement bolts, the head has a large wide slot for a standard/flathead or even Phillips screwdriver so they screwed in easily. I've been impressed by how well they work with a range of drivers. The container they come in is easy to open, so these screws were all over the shipping box when I opened it, but it doesn't matter. They are very easy to use, durable and helped make hanging hurricane shutters. much easier for the last hurricane. 5 Stars
