This is a really great product just read the instructions and understand them. Be sure to press the power button once after charging. I tested the shock on myself and the 1st and 2nd settings weren't even noticeable, while the 3rd was mild but still enough to make you drop your collar. That's what I was hoping for, because low settings shouldn't be overwhelming, otherwise what's the point? I have two 7 month old Siberian Husky/Beagle puppies, one is very tall and the other is petite. Before using the shock I use horns and a buzzer. I have found that one dog responds quickly to the beep and the other dog responds better to the buzzer so it's great to have options. They apply to fixes immediately, so I'm very glad no shock is needed. I read the reviews carefully before buying and it's actually very easy to quickly switch between dogs. I've noticed that people have complained about not keeping track of which collar goes in which switch position. I simply wrote their names on the top or bottom of the switch with a marker. Another thing is, if you try it on yourself, you need to press the contacts, and in order for the shock to act on the dog, you need a tight collar, not a dangling one. My only two complaints are rather minor. The erased material doesn't hold a marker or other ink marks for a long time, and I have to constantly rewrite the names so they can put the mark they want. Second, the collar has a lot of extra collars that you adjust and then cut off, but I have a thick neck dog and a thin neck dog, and there are no strips on the collar to tuck in the extra length when finished it won't work in the future, will it I want to swap them, maybe my collar is too short for that. It would be nice if you could roll up the extra length with 1-2 strips to hold it in place. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
