The lamp does exactly what I expected it to do. It's big enough to fit in a whole hand. The base is detachable so you can make toes. The sensor sits low on the sides, so you'll need to make sure your hands are on the plastic base to activate the LEDs. My only complaint is that the base comes off too easily. If you lift it from above, the base may fall down immediately. This is a relatively minor issue, but I wish the magnets were stronger. As long as you don't remove or move the lamp between uses, this isn't a problem.
