If you take your time and follow the instructions carefully, this stand will do the job just fine! I was able to mount my 55" Vizio flat screen on a dresser in my bedroom. It is rock solid and the pivot works as advertised. I don't understand why some people have had issues with this VERY WELL designed stand! There were plenty of screws and washers included Choosing to attach mounting brackets to your TV and you really need to choose the right ones for your application but a little common sense will do the trick here I would highly recommend the mountup stand!
