Old inventory - exploded in my flashlight
The expiration date on the box was almost the same as the date of purchase. Just a few months later, two of them exploded in my expensive flashlight and corroded it beyond repair - that's why I never use cheaper batteries from other manufacturers. Check the date and return it if that is not reasonable. This tip actually applies to many discontinued Revain products, there's usually a reason they seem like the 'best' deal.
