Make sure Deep Sleep is disabled and set Toner to Continue

This is a pretty basic printer even for a girl like me who is not very tech savvy. I literally followed the manual up to the letter T and it worked. My laptop is a gold 12 inch Macbook running version 10.11 El Capitan. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to enter my Wi-Fi password into a printer without a keyboard! (Just press the up/down button until you get to the email you want, then ok.) I ran into the same issue where my laptop wouldn't send print jobs to the printer even though it was already connected .I suspect the DEEP SLEEP signal on the screen is a problem because who can work in DEEP SLEEP? (At least I thought so.) So I read the reviews to find a way to turn it off. Voila! Printed right away. With arrows to scroll through the menu items. Go to 'General Settings' then 'OK' 'Environment' then 'OK' SLEEP TIME then 'OK'. While the sleep time is displayed, press the down and BACK arrows at the same time! Then click OK. Toggle DEEP SLEEP on/off with OK arrow keys to SAVE Deep sleep is off. While looking at the reviews, I came across someone who talked about putting the toner in resume mode very early in order not to waste toner (because once the toner replacement signal goes on, you can't use the remaining toner use). I thought it was reasonable and did it. Steps: General Setup -> Replace Toner -> Continue
