Not Good Enough for Landscape Photography

This is my first review of a product and I'm only writing this to mark the likely end of my love/hate for the Fuji-X APS-C system in general. .I've been using the system since X-E1, also had X-E2, X100s, X-T2. I love fiddling with my gear and Fuji cameras are perfect for those who hate shooting full or semi-automatic. Came X-T2 and X-T3. Anyway, here I am, two days before my trip to Los Angeles, Death Valley and Joshua Tree National Parks, deciding what gear to take with me on the trip. Do I take the X-T3 with a couple of primes and the tried and tested Canon 5D IV with 16-35 and 70-200 which seems like a lot of gear to lug around, or should I swap my Fuji lens with a 10-24 lens and leave the Canon at home. I decided on this lens, rushed the one-day delivery and was keen to try it out before traveling. And what a lesson it was. It only took me a dozen shots with Fuji and Canon in my wooded backyard to appreciate the full superiority of Canon images. Then I asked myself what I hoped to achieve by taking Fuji with me on the trip of a lifetime (I'm not sure I'd ever visit Death Valley even once). Gain) fully reckon with the fact that the images are significantly worse than with the Canon 5D IV? The only reasons I can think of are size and weight, but the benefits aren't that significant considering the battery grip is a must-have for the X-T3. Of course, Fuji cameras excel at people photography, street photography or any other situation where you don't want to draw attention by pulling out an intimidating DSLR and shooting through the viewfinder. Image quality is paramount to me so this lens is a thing of the past and the rest of my Fuji gear is finding happy new owners on Ebay.
