So I read all the reviews and burst into tears from all the people saying it won't work because the base won't hold up. This tells me that the people who bought it literally use the big nut as a magnetic device on the bottom that you have to take off and put the screw in the hole and then put the nut back on. Remove the nut from the rack. Insert the nut into the hole that was literally cut out for the nut at the bottom of the panel. Flip your homemade plate. Be sure to hold the nut when flipping the main plate so you don't lose the nut. Screw the post as tight as possible into the nut now in the base plate. The flexible rubber hose has a small groove at the top about 4 inches. This is the deep stripe that goes first to the newly attached tray. Take the flexible stand and slide it into the hard stand until it stops. Mine didn't quite fit at first. So I added some soapy water and put it back in. The rubber part was also a bit deformed from being in the box for so long. So I held the broom in my hands, it's the perfect size and everything is laid out as it should be. This thing is strong as a rock, it will take a beating. I watched it yesterday March 8th with my 5 year old and 12 year old who spent 2 hours playing ball against the fence and I had absolutely no problems with this T bar. So if you can't figure out how to put it together, I don't think you should play a sport or try to teach someone a sport. This is a scathing review for any people who really couldn't figure out how to put this together. I'm so sorry and sorry if you can't take this with a grain of salt, but the fact that there were no instructions when this thing came with instructions, I think you'll still find something to complain about be able!
