Flowmaster FlowFX catback exhaust system for my 2020 Ford Ranger Fx4 with this fiberglass from the catalyst/downpipe from the header to the system tip. Itchy dirty work. The result is AMAZING. Even after intensive driving, the hoses feel comfortable. The reason for this work was that the large Flowmaster pipes give the exhaust room to expand and cool, stopping a little in the pipes. This shroud keeps the gas much hotter to the end than standard smaller uninsulated tubing, keeping gases flowing to the outlet and reducing gas stagnation and back pressure. The interior of the truck stays cooler. It is very good in Tucson, Arizona, where the temperature exceeds 115 degrees in the summer. The interior of the truck is also significantly quieter, since the foil dampens the resonance of the tube walls.
