PERFECT SIZE AND GREAT PRICE!

Arrived on time as promised. The overall dimensions of this switch are impressive. Too bad I didn't find it some time ago after I bought it and it was available. It's bulky, too light, and made entirely of plastic (but I didn't care). To keep it from moving during use I had to attach it to a steel plate. Even after I changed that and other missing features, it still sucked. He's just too big. Then I found this footswitch and was amazed at how well made it is. Oh yes, and the price too! In terms of size, everything fits. After reading the datasheet I found in the box, I decided to pop open the switch to see exactly what was required to properly install the power cord as this version didn't have one. I want a custom fit due to the limited space. Overpacking is negligent. After removing the switch cover I saw that the micro switch was under a removable cover and I couldn't see the connections with it. There is a small plastic latch that needs to be gently pushed away from the edge of the lid to release it. It started immediately with little effort. I was a little confused at first but found the cover held securely enough over the microswitch without it. Will it stay like this? It's hard to say, but it takes an unexpected amount of effort to remove. Repeated several times out of curiosity, there were no changes. I think everything will be fine and I don't think it's worth the hassle or even looking for a warranty replacement. I have yet to install it to try it out, but I absolutely love it.

Pros
  • Low profile, low actuation force snap to reduce operator fatigue
Cons
  • So far so good
