Review on Kikkerland Birch Biodegradable Paper Straws by Wendy Owens

My family loves straws. We drink almost everything through straws, so we go through them a lot. We used plastic bottles but my kids were becoming environmentally conscious so were looking for an alternative. They have metal straws, but what a nightmare, have you ever tried to scrub a smoothie out of one of them? I saw them online and decided to give it a try. People are PAPER. Not perfect, but great for most drinks. Yes, they do decompose - they should, and we drank them for about an hour without too much trouble. And now the best part: my kids throw them in the compost along with the coffee grounds and they decompose. The only thing I would like to see is if there is a way to bend the straw like the plastic ones.
