Affordable but with more features and a solid metal construction (compared to the more expensive cheap plastic device I bought from a big store before). Stripping a Cat5e/6 cable is very easy and the crimp seems very strong. These ratchets achieve full clamping, after which the ratchet is released. The release handle is used to release the ratchet if something gets stuck; I have not experienced the "not working" issue mentioned in another review. However, there are a few limitations, especially for beginners: - There are practically no instructions for use. Unless you're mechanically inclined, this could be a problem. The crappy kit I got from the big store has a schematic on the back of the box which is a great reference. Such tables are not supplied with this tool. When using a cable stripper it becomes a bit difficult to let go of the tool as the ratchet will loosen and make it difficult to rotate around the cable. In this case, you will have to do a little tinkering. But for the price I can forgive all these shortcomings. As a casual home user, this is great and far exceeded my expectations. As a professional, I could wish for better.
