I installed a Qi wireless stand on my FJR with a mirror mount. I really appreciate this option as a lot of bikes like the FJR don't have standard round handlebars. I really wish this stand had a standard 17mm ball mount, but it has an oddly small ball size that really limits mounting options. With a 17mm bullet, I could slam them onto my existing Techmount or Ram racks and be ready to rock. Despite this, setup is easy and allowed me to position the base station so that it does not interfere with the operation of the switch. Enable Qi or USB charging. It has a small blue LED that shows when the device is on, but it's fairly unobtrusive, which is a double-edged sword. Bright, flashy LEDs are very annoying at night, but unobtrusive LEDs are overlooked and batteries eventually die. Ask me how I know. :-) So to me a waterproof switch is cool, but hot is the way to go. I really like that it has both Qi and USB options because I use the USB port to charge things other than my phone so it's good not to be limited to just Qi. I wish the mounting brackets were a bit deeper. . I have a Samsung S10e with a Poetic case and it works great but nothing fits lower. The corner latches alone may hold the phone or case a bit lower, but the way they are installed in the stand actually makes the back of the stand the limiting factor, not the corner latches. With a slight design change, this stand can accommodate a deeper phone without compromising security or stability. The armrests rattle a bit without the phone, but it's pretty solid with the phone. I use the Ciro phone charging mount, which has a SUPER secure phone mount that I absolutely love, but their latest charging cradle can't handle wet sneezes, so I had to look for new options. Many other Qi coasters have really questionable retention and four corner retention was the main deciding factor for me on this stand, so I'm really glad it worked with my case. Qi charging has worked flawlessly so far, as has USB on my various accessories. Time will tell how durable this unit is, and since very few people put their Farks through the brutal test I put through the miles, bumpy roads, and inclement weather, I should be able to tell pretty quickly if this kid will do it. be good in the long run.
