Update: I replaced the screw with an M3 0.5x6mm socket head cap screw from Home Depot. It fits just right. A 3-pack costs about 50 cents. I needed a stronger guide than my magnetic one and it works great! I have a Brother HC1850 sewing machine and this is exactly what I was looking for! Although I had to get another set screw as the ones that come with the kit are too big, it was worth it. Sewing machine accessories are very expensive. I used a #2 T8 Torx machine screw I had laying around. I've attached photos for everyone if you need them. I'll probably add a washer later or buy a larger cap screw from the hardware store, but wanted to post this review so anyone with the same problem knows this is a good solution. Good luck and happy sewing!
