Most of the time we seem to suffer from products that have too many useless functions, obscure instructions and require complicated procedures to perform simple functions but fail to accomplish the most basic tasks. Fortunately, this is not one of those products. Pressing the power button turns it on or off. Pressing the start/stop button starts or stops the timer. lap time, but the timer continues to run in the background, letting you know it's still running by flashing a colon (:) between minutes and seconds. Lap/Reset as many times as you like to freeze/thaw elapsed time. Pressing Lap/Reset while the timer is stopped resets the timer to zero. That's all. No beeps, no memory, no split times, no countdown, no erasing of previous data, no programming of date, days, years, current time, daylight saving time, alarm time, Zulu time, backlight intensity programming, Bluetooth interface with mobile app, magnetic flux variations, relativistic tachyon beam distortion factors, or other useless and complex techniques that engineers and marketing departments hopelessly pile up as "features" that no one can remember, let alone use. 1/100 second, which is way beyond my requirements. Requires 2 AAA batteries which are included. It's a nice change and much preferable to those stupid button batteries as there seem to be hundreds of different types with slightly different numbers that are never compatible with each other. It's accurate too. Like the previous reviewer, I calculated the 12-hour period to the nearest second, according to the time on my phone, but unlike his results, my results were accurate. the battery compartment will open if you drop it. Solution: don't drop it. If you just want a stopwatch that measures time and you don't need to do integral calculus with a voice command on the fly, this is the one for you. can defeat him.
