🎨 Chalky Chicks DC Blue - Premium 32 oz Chalk Finish Paint for Furniture, Cabinets & DIY Crafts Review

I knew this paint would be thick but it wasn't. Difficult to use. I added water as suggested. I had to keep refilling water. What a mess it was. I ordered the 2 bottle. This second bottle was completely different. Easy to use. Water for dilution is not required. Chalk paint is expensive. I hated that I lost money on the first product. I ended up using all but a quarter of the first bottle. 2nd bottle maybe a cup.

A picture says more than a thousand words. Aside from RETURN, the only other word to describe this product and the lame quality control that is responsible for making it possible to ship to consumers despite the need for a job or hobby. even a gift would go well with a second word to describe it: brutal! None of the stars matched but placed one to make this important fact.

Dries very quickly which is good for projects but can waste unused paint if not applied as soon as possible. Would give 5 stars but d/t cost and loss of color if I'm not moving fast I'll choose 4 stars. Don't get me wrong I will be using this brand again and now I know how to use it properly to avoid waste. Requires multiple coats for good coverage. The color is AMAZING. Even my husband loves it which is quite an achievement.

I am painting a small desk for my daughter to use as a dressing table. Two coats of paint came off last weekend with no problems. I let it dry for a week and came back today to add some stencils. The paint only came off after I measured the position of the stencil with a ruler and placed the bowl on the table. I've done all the necessary prep work on the table, cleaned, sanded, etc., but the paint just doesn't seem to stick. I will probably not buy this brand again.

I used Chalky Chicks Gun Metal Gray as a base color for a tiled floor in a small bathroom. This was the first project to use the idea of stenciling tiles. I have to say the finished product is fantastic and I really loved the color! So much so that I used it again to repaint the cabinets in the next bathroom! Chalky Chicks is running smoothly. This is typical chalk paint in the sense that it can get thick very quickly, but squirting with a little water thins it out so it doesn't stick together.

I love this color! I bought several colors for different projects. And I love all colors, DC Blue, Snow and Stormy Seas. I'm new to painting but I've got a new addiction! I have doubts about this brand of chalk paint. I've used many different brands of chalk paint, from expensive to homemade. I was excited to try this because the description said it could be used in an airbrush. The opacity was great, but still too thick, jar-like for my airbrush.
