Review on Splatoon 2 Edition Nintendo Switch Pro Controller - Limited Stock by Christopher Buck

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does the job well enough.

The controller is actually quite nice. I really like the colors and the design. The green and pink go perfectly with the Splatoon joysticks (as expected, and the faint ink sticker and stuff on the black part of the controller in the middle is a nice touch. Since this is the only pro controller I own, I do I don't have any comparison to other types of controllers As someone who prefers controllers to a mouse and keyboard combo I've been through a lot of them Weight It could be lighter but I think it will take sacrifices for something like this chic HD rumble or something. The controller doesn't actually have any shiny surfaces. It doesn't seem to leave fingerprints on it, which is great. The front buttons (ABXY) have satisfactory resistance and not no clicks or anything else (like analog buttons - L3/R3 -Joysticks). Screenshot buttons are rendered as clicky buttons instead. I feel like the +/- placement should be different, instead I often reach for the home/screenshot buttons. The two analog sticks are nice and firm and comfortable to use. They're also clingy, so they tend to get attracted to each other. Things. I don't like the cross. It's a solid and solid piece of plastic. It's similar to other controllers released by Nintendo, but I think Sony's DualShock spoiled me a bit as their separate directions just feel better on the D-Pad. The price for what it is seems very high. If I were to rate this myself without knowing about Nintendo Switch Pro controller prices first, I'd say it should be around $50, not $80. In general, the device works well, I really like it, but it's not. Perfect. If you have $80 to explode like Splatoon and need a pro controller for your Switch, I think this is the one you should go for. I haven't tried it, but I've also heard that it doesn't work well with PC in terms of plug n play (similar to PS4/XB1).

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Communication with seller
