Splatoon 2 Edition Nintendo Switch Pro Controller - Limited Stock Review

The theme templates on the controller are taken from Splatoon 2 and look bold but modest. If you have a professional controller, it's a great second controller for multiplayer games. As it is no longer made it is hard to find and may be a bit more expensive compared to the black pro controller. The professional controllers are only available in 4 different colors from March 3, 2019, excluding interchangeable housing and universal controllers, making them a must-have for Switch owners.

I really wanted this controller so I could customize it with my Splatoon theme, so unfortunately I had to pay speculative prices for it. To my surprise, the Switch Pro Controller is actually pretty cool! Really comfortable to hold. Has good weight. The buttons and joystick feel comfortable like all Nintendo consoles and not soft like Xbox controllers. The Pro Controller features full movement and Amiibo support! And of course the colors are great! I highly recommend it!

The Switch Pro Controller is one of the most comfortable and ergonomic controllers I've ever used and is functionally identical to the regular Pro Controller. I really like the neon buttons and love the design that is actually integrated into the faceplate of the controller. It's a bit pricey, but given the built-in features as well as the USB-C charging cable, it's not as bad as everyone says. Highly recommend if you can find it for the RRP.

One of the best controllers you can buy for a switch. So far I've found it to get around a week and a half of battery life when playing 3-4 hours a day. The Splatoon colors look great compared to all black versions and offer fantastic build quality. May be a little big or heavy for little hands. It can connect to Windows 10 via Bluetooth, but only seems to have one device in memory. Therefore, you need to restore it to the Switch after connecting it to another device.

Mine came in the original packaging although I bought it "used". The Official Nintendo USB Cable looked as if it was in the original packaging with zip ties and looked like it had never been opened. The controller seemed to see almost no benefit. The controller is very comfortable to hold and use. Battery life is excellent and I've never seen it run out of juice. Set up was very easy and now I regret not getting the pro controller much sooner. It feels a lot better than the included joysticks as it feels like a 'real' controller (although maybe bulkier if you're used to PS4 or whatever - it's probably closer to an XBox controller). The switch controller is truly the best controller I've ever used. I know my opinion is ultimately subjective when it comes to controllers, but I definitely recommend this one.
