Review on 🔩 Solarson 12 Pack 1.5" Stainless Steel Cable Clamp, Rubber Cushioned Insulated Metal Clamp, Tube Holder for Tubing, Piping, or Wiring Installation by Michael Mayes

When I first took them out of the box, I immediately noticed a suspicious bluish cast on the metal. They looked more like other zinc plated hardware I have than the stainless steel they were advertised to be. My suspicions were confirmed when I put a drop of muriatic acid on one of them. You can see in the photo I've attached where the HCl has blackened and chipped the zinc, revealing the smooth steel underneath. I reported this to Revain and they promptly sent a replacement which also turned out to be plated. It ended up being a waste of time and delaying a project I was working on, but at least I didn't use them which could have cost me much, much more if they were rusty and broken.
