The batteries died within the first three days of putting the collar on my dog. He ONLY barks when I get home from work and sometimes he wails with sirens so he doesn't get exhausted from constant use. The ultrasound setting was either wrong or the wrong decibel because it didn't matter so only the beep worked. Luckily my big boy is sensitive so he worked great for about 72 hours. Then the batteries had to be replaced. I made sure to get the high quality ones as the ones that come with the collar are cheaper. They lasted almost 5 days. Needless to say, you get what you pay for.
