This is a solid, heavy TV mount that fits the specs on this page. This is advertised. I've successfully installed my 32" TV with this alone, and I'm just a vaguely "experienced" person who has a nail-finding tool, not a DIY genius. A few surprises will help you to know this in advance if you are installing this yourself: The tools required section of the instructions states that you will need a 5/32" drill bit to drill pilot holes for the screws that the Bracket secure to stud in your wall. OK, OK, as expected. You may already have a drill this size. But what the instructions don't mention is that the standard 5/32" bit is a full two inches shorter than the torque screws. Those bolts are really, really long. So make sure you buy the EXTRA racket. The instructions say it's instant. Also, don't believe the "tools you'll need" section when it says you can drive anchor bolts into the wall with a wrench. You can never drive the bolts into the wall with a traditional one flush with the wall get keys. Instead, you'll need a 1/2" hex socket wrench. Oddly enough, this tool is NOT listed in the "tools needed" section. A wrench of the same size, be it a hand wrench or a power drill, won't get the job done: neither of these Both will have enough torque to drive those monstrous bolts. Believe me. You'll need a heavy-duty 1/2" hex socket wrench. And you need some elbow grease. These screws are NOT easy to tighten. years ahead. But be prepared. Before I got a socket, I tried tightening the lag bolts with a 1/2" hex wrench, and the bolts were so stubborn that the wrench's plastic handle came loose completely - only to crumble around the driver's shaft - about three turns inside "These monstrous screws are serious business. The installation instructions are pretty terrible. The diagrams - and judging by the incomplete/misleading tools section, all diagrams, not written step-by-step instructions - are unclear. I read the instructions multiple times and laid out all the parts and on a few the steps were such tiny and confusing drawings that it was really hard to tell which fastener/hole/part to use. And like other reviewers, please note that if you are following the instructions and installing in a wall of drywall and studs (not brickwork), install this mount by screwing TWO of the four screws provided through a pair into the center of the stud Holes in bracket that are slightly off-center. It's hard to imagine, and even if it's secure (I'm assuming it is secure), the off-center mount FEEL wrong. But that's what it's for. There are four holes, two on each side of the center of the bracket, and they are spaced 1.5 inches apart - the width of a standard bolt. So there is no way to drive four screws into the bolt. You just need to choose one side and use two screws. If the instructions were clearer that this must be done I would feel better. And so I kept looking back over the steps to see if I had missed something. Of course, it could "Don't tell me to mount it off-center. But it really is. The extra two screws are just for those installing into brick walls. Two screws is apparently all that is required for the stud to be about so I wasn't sure, the two screws/off center I screwed into my TV after the installation was complete, extended the mounting lever fully for maximum load and placed a table under the TV to catch it when the screws were off. Doesn't work within three days Everything was kept safe so I'm assuming this mount only requires two off-centre screws - installation was still a hassle due to the ambiguous and unnecessarily confusing instructions.
