Review on Portzon Adjustable Weighted Vest by Doug Hammett

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It was a nice try. - my new review

It's comfortable, fits well and is adjustable for a lot of different body sizes and types. Easy to work out in and once you've got it strapped on tight, you don't even feel the weight. However. It's just not practical at all. You're working out with extra weight strapped on, and wearing a thick neoprene vest to boot. I don't care who you are or if you're working out in a freezer you're going to sweat like you've never sweat before. And then what? You can't machine wash it. Not until you pull out those dozens of small steel bars. It takes a good 20 minutes to put them in, probably 10 to pull them out, if you've got the vest fully loaded. You're going to be doing that every time. 30 minutes of prep and cleanup every time you want to use this vest because I guarantee you won't be using it more than once without washing. It's just. Not thought out well. You need an easier way to add and remove weight before this is actually worth buying. But, the construction is good and as I said it's comfortable, so it's not a complete loss if, say, you don't mind hanging it on a rack and pressure washing it after every use to save yourself the time.

Pros
  • Suitable for both beginners and experienced athletes.
Cons
  • It may not provide enough resistance for advanced users looking for a heavier weight vest
