We bought a new TV that we use with a Bose soundbar. My husband has hearing aids that use a device that allows you to hear the TV sound directly into his hearing aids. The soundbar was connected to the HMDI port, and the hearing aid jack was connected to the digital audio-video output. However, this combination did not work. The solution was to connect BOTH devices to the digital output. This required a splitter. However, not all splitters are the same. Buy one (like this one) that has its own power supply. Now I can hear the sound through the soundbar and my husband gets it through his hearing aids. Each of us can adjust our own volume or listen alone. In addition, this splitter offers space for 3 devices, which can also be connected to a headset. Again, you need your own power supply.
