This is a typical product for small drilling rigs; very well built and I will be delighted to use it with my external HDMI monitor. Unfortunately, the only headphones that fit after installing this cable protector are the earbuds for my iPhone. I can't install a quality headset to monitor audio directly from the camera. Might try controlling the audio from an external monitor, or maybe if I could find a male to female audio extension cable. The extension should be short and straight, not an L-shape at either end. The straight male end that plugs into the camera port exposes the cable protector of the small drill with the mini HDMI cable installed.
