Replaced the OEM engine on my '97 Jeep Wrangler TJ with this unit. The OEM motor had a rubber case it was wrapped in, but I couldn't reuse it on the new motor. It was too fragile after 24 years of service and broke easily when removed. The new engine started immediately with no problems. It runs very well and is a definite improvement over the old engine that slowly died until it failed completely. Wiper motors are exposed to the elements on the TJ, and since I couldn't use a rubber cover, I covered the motor and bracket with a film of liquid to provide some protection from water and other hazards. For the price it was very good value. Happy with it so far.
