Review on ๐Ÿ”ง All Too Easy Tools 1/2 Inch Torque Wrench Angle Gauge Tool SF0136 by Jason Bailey

Torque angle degrees! Very cool tool

Easy to use. Doesn't take up much space. So it's a torque and angle gear based on a 1/2" drive. Many head bolt tightening sequences or instructions require a measurement after the bolts have been tightened. There are very expensive digital angle ratchets out there, but a silly one seems to me Idea to be if you can use one of these.I used it for the first time yesterday when I was working on a Chrysler 3.6 liter engine. The instructions allow you to split the torque angle into two attempts where addition reaches the final target grade. If you did basic math lessons in school, such as adding, I would recommend this tool. You'll save about $1,000 by using basic math. I used it on eight screws and got 130ยฐ with no problems. The support bar is a bit of an issue at first but after playing with it I found that it shouldn't be tight, as long as it rests against a spark plug tube or a camshaft bearing, for example. Very little holding force is required to hold the rod. As you turn the ratchet or brake rod, you turn the dial indicator while the numbers are held stationary on a small support rod. Actually, this little tool is quite a lot of fun because of its simple but precise design. It could snap in hard to reach places if you don't keep your tools level or slip off, so I can experiment with using, say, a 3" extension underneath. Great tool. One improvement I would like is a metal bracket on the grab bar.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Almost everything there
