I bought this product because I thought my fridge wasn't cold enough and I saw a technology that used to use a laser thermometer to measure the internal temperature. I got over 50 degrees in the fridge with this product while it was set at 33 so I used that as the basis for a support call along with spoiled milk. When the tech came back his laser thermometer read 35 while mine was still reading 40 and 50 at the same time and in the same place. I may have gotten a broken one, but this laser thermometer is absolutely awful. UPDATE: Based on this review, Etekcity sent me a replacement with no questions asked and no need to return the faulty one. It deserves a second star. UPDATE: The thermometer turned out to be fine, but the tech that came out had a defect (different brand I asked). In fact, the temperature the new tech got from his wire thermometer was exactly the same as I got from this laser thermometer. 100% Five Star Product!
