My cousin has a previous design for this product. She uses it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, especially since she's an "aged" woman experiencing time. She liked it very much. I ordered mine while I was at her house. I've seen descriptions that it's fundamentally stronger and better than the previous model and the price reflected that. It's twice as expensive. But I love the latest and greatest products which is why I bought it. I play football with a women's flag and would like to use it on the touchline. I was rather disappointed. What I immediately noticed was that the fan speed and power are exactly the same as my cousin's cheaper and older model. There was nothing stronger, there were also the same settings. The pen has become noticeably larger, so the size of the battery was noticeable. But she's never complained about her battery draining quickly. Two things, it's the same as any other portable fan. If it's warm or hot outside, the fan will still blow warm/hot air, phew. My air conditioner stopped working a few days after the fan failed in the summer heat. This fan didn't do anything magical. It was still hot with or without a fan. So the fan is good, yes. This is a regular hand fan. The stand is a handy feature. It's relatively quiet and runs smoothly. Just remember that you don't have to spend any extra money to get this prettier (more expensive) one. The one they sell for $13 does the same thing. Don't expect it to change your life. This is the main portable fan type. If you're already chilly, this works great for you.
