Review on MIGHTY MIND MightyMind Sorting Magnets by Ashley Martinez

NOT Happy - Tray (44425) does not work with cards!

A few years ago I bought a MINI Mighty Mind set, two extra rectangular sorting trays with magnets and an extra set of tiles. I recently ordered another tray which now comes with magnets and a set of tiles. I also ordered an expansion pack that only contains cards for: SuperMind, Challenger, Sea Explorer and Zoo Adventure; and the Book of Big Ideas. To my dismay, the currently available MightyMind Magnetic Tile Sorter with Design Tiles and Magnets (44425) does not work with cards! The updated sorter is no longer rectangular - it has a corner that folds inward, preventing cards from remaining in the tray. What the hell? So I now have an updated tray with tiles printed on it for storage/organization, but it's not the tray we'll end up using because you can't put cards in it to play - useless for travel. After all, I have 2.5 sets of magnetic tiles, three trays, none of which have a storage lid, and the newest of those trays doesn't even fit cards! What can I say we will be able to develop our skills with maps/tiles but after spending over $100 on this product I don't even have anything to store the details. by Mighty Mind - unless of course they try to force you to buy the sets individually so you get some sort of box that actually contains the set. Disappointing considering the product is pretty decent in terms of educational value. I'm at a loss to recommend this to anyone because it's quite difficult to deal with.
