Review on YESWELDER Powered Darkening Welding Goggles by John Langdon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ideal for special applications.

Really interesting concept. I've long wondered if anyone made welding goggles, and it turns out they do, and even with auto-dimming! I haven't used them much, but I've done MIG and Flux core welding with them. I will say that they are a really good alternative to a traditional welding helmet, especially when tack welding on projects where you don't have long welds and don't need all the bulky protection. Another application I find really useful is in tight spaces where a full size welding helmet is too big to be comfortable. Of course, they do not offer full face protection, but they can certainly be used in certain cases.

Pros
  • Compact design allows welding in places where access with traditional welding helmets is restricted
Cons
  • Can't remember
