This is a very heavy item and weighs a lot. I like that the shaft is firm. The larger 2 5/16" ball is permanent, while the smaller 2" ball can be removed by removing a pin that allows the clevis rod to be removed. Unfortunately, there is so much play in the strut bar and 2-inch ball that the bar can partially slip out of its seat. The 2" ball and strut bar were so unstable I had to attach and weld the bar on. It is still adjustable for height and size but the bar is now stable. I wouldn't pull this without the bar in place and Spot to weld as I had instability issues when towing my pontoon boat.There is also a lot of movement and noise in the 2 pins where the ball attaches to the adjustable stem.If you can't weld it yourself to fix the imperfections I recommend not this article.
