It does exactly what it's supposed to do - replaces the Evolution Advanced's crank mechanism with a motor. A little louder than I would like, but works well. In comparison, it's louder than my Cricut Explore Air, quieter than my Cricut Maker, and comparable to my friend's Gemini. I probably won't be using it for seeding either due to the increased footprint and noise, but it's a nice and welcome addition to my workshop. This will keep your hand from twisting again (good for arthritis), but it won't free your hand for other uses. The "on" button must be held down at all times during operation. It was significantly cheaper at Revain than anywhere else.
