Review on DreamGEAR DGXB1 6603 Dual Charge Black by Jack Collins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice charging station: batteries and chargers

When I received this, the first thing I did was put in the batteries and then connected the charger to the Xbox One with the USB cable that came with it. Then when I saw the Tanker X review I decided to take out the batteries. As Tanker-X said, the batteries were almost impossible to remove. first time. I pulled them out by sticking duct tape to the back of the battery, and then slipped the blade of a utility knife between the battery and the controller. After that, the batteries fit snugly, but could be removed by hand. Charging the batteries took about 2 hours. I first deducted a star when I needed a tool to remove the batteries. The batteries themselves are very easy to insert into the controller. The charger is a lot smaller than I thought it would be and looks really good next to the Xbox One. The instructions state that you must remove the controllers after loading. That's what all companies with a lithium battery will say for product liability reasons. Lithium batteries are prone to thermal runaway. If this happens while connected to a charger, it could cause a fire. Since the lights on the charger change from red to green when the controller is charging, I'm willing to bet it will stop charging too. All in all a good product, only marred by the fact that the batteries were difficult to remove the first time.
