I wear medium leggings, and found the medium size to fit me perfectly. They are shiny and incredibly warm due to their thick material. There are no problems with your underwear showing when crouching or bending. You can absolutely wear these as pants. All the other winter leggings that I bought that cost $15 (such as Uniqlo) are not nearly as warm as these. I even wear them during the summer when I have the AC on haha. The only thing is the waistband is a tighter than other leggings.
