Fits my granddaughter

I bought this for my 19 month old granddaughter to use when washing her hands and to 'help' grandma with baking cookies. The stool was packed fairly well in styrofoam and heavy cardboard. Luckily no scratches or anything like that. Instructions only in pictures. It comes with some washers but the photos do not show the use of washers. There is fine print "recommended" about using washers. I used washers and everyone should use them. Following the step-by-step drawings, I assembled a stool. Hexagon head screws are screwed into the wood with pre-inserted threads. Allen key included. The wooden frame has a place to store the Allen key. Two problems. At first some of the screws are difficult to install, but after using some wd-40 everything went fine. Second, don't over-tighten the screws. As a result, the screw heads tear off easily. Soft metal (brass) screw heads. This worries me because I want the platform my granddaughter is standing on to be watertight and secure. I see problems unscrewing the platform to adjust the level as the child grows. I suggest that you do not over tighten the screws on the platform. The platform will not move while the frame is tightened. After assembly I find the chair very stable. As the instructions state, you cannot leave and leave the child unattended. This applies to all stools. When it's at the counter (that's the goal), it doesn't tip over forward. I don't see this stool tipping over to the side) but when the child sits in any tower stool it becomes heavy. There are "legs" that give the stool more stability to prevent it from tipping over onto its side. Just take care of your kids. I love that this stool has a large first step that allows the child to easily get in and out of the tower. I would have given the chair 5 stars if it wasn't for the screw problem. I also think there is a better way to attach the platform to make assembly easier (you need to loosen four screws). In general, it meets our needs.

Pros
