I bought these long before I started using them. My wife was not happy that I bought these vacuum bags. I paid for it. I was in the doghouse. Well, we're selling our cute little hobby farm, we're relocating to Florida, and we're making serious cuts. So about 2 weeks ago she advised me to sort through my clothes to decide what to keep for the cold weather and what to donate. I was given a plastic tub and said I could keep it as space would be a big issue in our new "place". Ah ha, I'm going to try the Greenco Space Saver bags! What I have learned. They worked ! OK, a few questions. leaks. yes, with my 3rd SMH bag everything is very simple. I opened the bag, it opened easier than the first bag (I had to test it throughout the cycle). Hmmm, so I rearranged the content so that the vacuum cleaner is a bit flatter than the rocking chair leg it used to be. This time I make sure I lined up the slider properly with the weatherstrips and moved it first one way and then the other. I heard a faint rustle, indicating the seal was thrown off on the first pass. Then I did it a third time with no noise and it's still compressed today (2 weeks). Just like every package in a box. I carefully examined the seals on the plastic around the perimeter of each bag and noted the hot seam work they did. IMPRESSIVE. And here is the wife. "You got a whole bunch in that bathtub?" YES, I said proudly, then she looked at the bags and was SHOCKED with the results. she asked if I had more. I said no, I've used them all. Well, she went and bought another brand (sold in Shopko). Well the valve that sucks the air out was a lot cheaper, it looked like it was only 2 pieces, there were 3 in the Greenco bags. and we had a leak that we couldn't solve. Will be buying more of these, we will need them as our new home is on a 50ft yacht (not a lot of closets to hide crap), I've seen some people have trouble with these bags. I suggest not overflowing at first. These bags cost less than $2 each. and they fit great. Second, the cap and valve. DO NOT overtighten the cap, the short tube will rest against the plastic valve inside. Just like an over-tightened oil filter will cause it to leak. Slightly twist the cap and when you feel another 1/8 of the resistance so it is tight, ENJOY, GOOD PACKAGING. Here is a photo of our new house
