I recently packed *most* of my stuff into a minivan and drove it from California to my new home in Pennsylvania. I thought vacuum bags would be a great way to free up as much space as possible in a minivan. It probably would have been fine if the bags had stayed sealed or hadn't had huge holes in them from being air evacuated and placed in a larger soft cloth bag. WOW. I'm really amazed at how well this bag brand is doing. Packs a 20 gallon tub of Halloween costumes, wigs and soft jewelry for storage. There was even a spider web and 2 bouquets of fake spooky flowers (covered the pointed stems with soft decorations so as not to risk piercing the bag). This is just amazing. When I moved, I could only take a few suitcases and a lot of clothes with me on the plane. My criterion was that they should be cheap, small enough to fit in a suitcase and not require a vacuum cleaner. This seemed to fit the bill. I received these today and used them straight away to vacuum seal the 3D printer's filament to keep it from absorbing water. (A common practice is to put bags of silica gel in a vacuum bag and suck all the air out. I got excited because initially these things seemed to do a great job of sucking all the air out.
