Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Optimize Vehicle Performance with MOOG K100132 Pinion Angle Adjusting Bolt by Ian Iknokinok

Not strong enough to hold caster adjustment.

In short, this set sucks! Yes, there are two properly sized 16mm screws, but none of us paid $20 for a pair of screws. The problem is that the washers that this application requires don't turn on the bolt to allow you to adjust the caster. These washers are stamped from cheap mild steel. I promise you that if you try to spin a reel, the washers will spin around the bolts and you won't be able to maintain the reel's adjustment. A lot of people install them and then take the truck to the shop. So before you drive, be aware that this won't work, especially if you're trying to get 3-4 degrees of caster to get your truck to follow better. Another important difference is the screws. The factory bolts themselves have serrated locking edges, like a lug bolt, that dig into the factory pulley and prevent it from turning with the plane, they don't (look directly under the bolt head, the shank is smooth). Like many of you, I installed them at 2500 km and the front lower bushings were welded to the original bolts. I cut out the bushings with a 6" cut-off wheel, smashing the bearing pins in the process. In any case, given the above issues, I welded a Moog washer to the bolt head with a thin TIG bead to keep it from rotating. allowed me to get a real caster setting and everything seems fine but it's not something anyone should do. Next time I'll pay the dealer's share.
